This document specifies the requirements and test methods for FAME distillation residue (FDR) as a blend component in residual marine fuels.
Experience on the use of FDR in the marine sector is currently being built and confidence in the product is increasing. However, at the moment of publication of this document, publicly available information about the potential and appropriate blending ratios to ensure reliable and continuous use in marine applications is not widely available yet (see Clause 7).
This document is to be used in conjunction with ISO 8217 (see Clause 7).
